I need to wash my car!

On Sunday, Jan 9, the UBC Sports Car Club hosted Slush Series #4 at the Pitt Meadows Airport. Although it’s a further drive for me, the facilities are much nicer, and apparently the management is much more positive about motorsport compared to the Boundary Bay Airport.

The track we are now using is an actual, maintained runway that they shut down air traffic on for us to use. There are still landings taking place on the main runway, and there was also a helicopter practising takeoffs.

The event had some timing equipment problems, plus the early sunset meant that we only got 4 runs each. And it was damn cold, but at least it wasn’t pouring rain. I felt that I did quite well but I still have lots of room for improvement, considering that I ran about 5 seconds behind FTD (Mitch’s Subaru WRX).

I think so… check out http://www.ubcscc.com/phpbb/ for details. They usually post the signup a week before the event.
