CNET News.com now doing trackbacks

CNET News.com has introduced trackbacks and pingbacks into their site. This is great for readers because they can see who else on the net is discussing the articles.

I wonder how long it will take for them to develop permalinks for their site (see linked URL). :)
Off I go to see if my trackback actually made it.

We do have permalinks for stories. The TrackBacks are admittedly pretty convoluted right now. More to do!

Ahh… I was able to figure out permalinks, but they weren’t straightforward as the permalinks on this page for example.

    Ie; http://news.com.com/TrackBack%20and%20Pingback%20supported%20by%20CNET%20News.com/2030-9368_3-5462850.html?part=rss&tag=5462850&subj=news.9368.20

    Can be reduced to
    http://news.com.com/2030-9368_3-5462850.html

and I think that becomes a permanently available link.
